Our films are made with layers of Du Pont’s Mylar film bonded by a strong, durable pressure-sensitive adhesive system. Easily installed to the interior of new or existing glass, the film forms an almost invisible shield that holds glass shards together when a pane breaks. This can effectively reduce flying glass-related injuries that can result from everything from a hurricane or earthquake tremor to a terrorist attack. Various levels of film protection are available to address different hazard levels.

Safety & Security Film benefits don’t preclude aesthetic considerations. These films are optically clear without distortion and without a yellowed, cloudy or frosty overcast.

This can effectively reduce flying glass-related injuries that can result from accidents, hurricanes, earthquakes, terrorist attacks and the most common one: break-ins.

ATTACHMENT SYSTEMS

Extreme Window Films uses the Wet Glaze Attachment system, where we apply a bead of structural silicone such as Dow Corning 995 or Tremco Proglaze to the edges of the frames to secure the films to the frames. This reinforces the whole security film system and makes it structurally stronger.
